Growing up, healthy food options were always available to me, thanks to my health-conscious mother. She made sure our meals were nutritious and well balanced, setting the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. My father, who grew up on a farm, also contributed to our meals with his cooking skills and use of fresh, whole ingredients. As a result, I developed a love for good food and a deep appreciation for the importance of nutrition.
During my school years, I played sports and loved being active and feeling energized. I learned at an early age that if you don’t train well, there’s a higher risk for injury. I experienced a few knee dislocations and ankle sprains. This was a challenging set back from my activities. Yet, this only fueled my passion for proper training in the coming years.
After grade school, I pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I worked as a nutritionist for seven years in the local community. I took a few years off work to care for my children before transitioning to the fitness industry. During this time, I joined the local gym which ignited a passion in me for fitness and fun. This was the beginning of my fitness journey. For the past 15 years, I worked as a Les Mills Body Pump and Body Combat instructor, NASM personal trainer, gym manager, and Associate Executive Director. I’ve learned how to live a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and fitness. My mission is to share my knowledge with you to help you achieve your wellness goals.

These are a few of my favorite things…
- I’m a lover of the outdoors and all the adventures it brings. From hiking, skiing, camping (ok, maybe more glamping for me), walking my dog Gracie and having fun at the lake – I’m all in.
- Shopping is my guilty pleasure, but I’m sure you can relate.
- I enjoy hosting family and friends for holiday dinners, and my family is my true love.
- When I have a sweet craving, I turn to my favorite candy – gummy worms – though they never last long with my kids around!
- I believe in the power of small kindnesses, and I strive to make the best of life every day.
