Hey there, fellow snack lovers! Are you always on the hunt for a tasty and healthy snack to munch on throughout the day? Look no further than berries-the healthy and nutritious snack! These little fruits pack a punch of flavor and nutrition, making them the perfect addition to any snack routine.

This post is all about Berries-the healthy and nutritious snack that is low in calories and high in fiber.

Berries-the Healthy Snack

Berries are the healthy and nutritious snack that can add a burst of flavor and an abundance of health benefits to your diet. Here at Fit and Food by Jen, I’m passionate about helping people make healthy food choices, which is why I highly recommend incorporating berries into your meal plan. Not only are berries delicious, but they are also packed with disease-fighting antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and the growth of cancer cells. Additionally, berries are low in calories and high in fiber, which can help maintain a healthy weight and lower your risk of Diabetes and Heart Disease. Berries, are available all year round and can be consumed as a snack or added to a meal.

1. Berries are Low in Calories and High in Fiber

Nutrition Facts

  • 1/2 cup of Strawberries contains 32 calories and 1.7 grams of fiber
  • 1/2 cup of Raspberries contain 32 calories and 4 grams of fiber
  • 1/2 cup of Blueberries contains 42 calories and 1.7 grams of fiber
  • 1/2/ cup Blackberries contains 31 calories and 5.8 grams of fiber

2. Berries are Available Year Round

One of the best things about berries is that they are readily available during the spring and summer months. Whether you’re looking for strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or blackberries, you can easily find them at your local farmers’ market or grocery store. When buying berries, I recommend purchasing organic berries to reduce toxic residues. And if you’re looking to enjoy these tasty treats year-round, you can find them in the frozen section of your local grocery store.

3. Berries are the Perfect Addition to a Meal or Snack

I love eating berries for a healthy snack or adding berries to almost any meal. Whether I’m making a smoothie, yogurt bowl, or salad, berries can add a sweet and tangy touch. They also make a nutritious snack on their own or pair them with nut butter or cheese for an extra protein boost.


In conclusion, berries are a delicious and nutritious snack that offer numerous health benefits.
